I love to learn new skills so imagine my delight when given the chance to try my hand at crochet at my monthly WI meeting. We were joined by Michele Jameson, who, alongside two fellow members, Serena and Carolyn, taught us the art of holding the hook, making a slip knot and do basic chain stitch. It was more fiddly than I’d imagined but, by the end of the session, I was feeling confident that I could continue on my own. Granny square and blanket here I come!
