Travel through a warren of single-track lanes, past wild flower-packed hedgerows, cattle-filled fields and enticing glimpses of the sea, and you’ll arrive at Loveland Farm, a magical retreat in Devon, where you can either camp traditionally, or rent one of the eco-pods pictured. I was there for Sisterhood Camp, a meeting of wonderful and inspirational blogging women. Nearby is a wealth of untouched countryside to explore – from the Farm you can walk to Hartland Point with views of Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel; 12th-century Hartland Abbey, and, for the more adventurous Spekes Mill Mouth waterfall. Pack up a picnic and celebrate National Picnic Week en route – it’s impossible not to find a spot with a view.
