This May bank holiday weekend found me in the Bristol area and, with the forecast promising sunshine, I, of course, packed up my hiking boots and headed outside, with my husband Mike and our very special friend Bethan John of Decorator’s Notebook. Following a mind-blowing meal at The Ethicurean (read about it, here) we head out to explore Goblin Combe and Corporation Woods, a Wildlife Trust reserve with blankets of bluebells and banks of wild garlic abundant at this time of year. The five-mile route we did included one pretty steep hill but from the top, the views to the Bristol Channel and beyond were incredible, and there were plenty of craggy banks to relax on to catch your breath. Click here for the step-by-step we followed (more or less!).
