There’s something special about passing through British villages at Christmas and seeing colourful wreaths hanging on every door. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never made my own before – I’ve lived in so many flats in the past few years there’s not really been the opportunity.
But this year, being fully settled in a wonderful rural bungalow, I decided to go to town with it. Enter the fantastically creative Sarah Moore and her team of green-fingered experts. Recently relocated to a stunning barn near Petersfield in West Sussex, Sarah was holding a day of wreath-making sessions where all the tree ivy, holly, teasels and rosemary you could want, were provided – alongside enamel mugs of rich warming hot chocolate.
Here’s my first attempt – let me know what you think? I’m pretty proud of it, to be honest, and I know it will bring just the touch of rustic festive charm to my front door that I’m after.
