Delights around Daylesford

So I’ll admit, I printed off a route planner from the AA to do a walk around the award-winning organic Daylesford Farm near Kingham, Gloucestershire, but couldn’t resist the temptation to visit the farm shop and cafe first. It meant adjusting the walk slightly for my new start and end point but fortunately there are direct footpaths from Daylesford on to the AA route, so it was pretty easy to do. And I don’t think I missed out on any of the wonderful views – there’s the woodland-surrounded Oddington Church, the sheep-filled fields and impressive stately home of Adlestrop Park, and the picture-perfect Cotswolds villages in between. A delight – even on a somewhat drab day. Fortunately I managed to dodge the heaviest of showers and the sun even made a welcome appearance before setting down.
